Dustra was born with the powers to turn any metal into non-metallic dust. It was first discovered when all the metal parts of her crib disintegrated when she got angry. Rather then fearing her powers, her parents found her a safe place to practice and learn to control her powers. She learned all the different facets of her power and became confident in the uses of this potentially deadly power. Her parents stayed with her throughout her learning and encouraged her to use her power for good rather then harm.
She has no metal within her own body. She can turn any metal into dust which includes the iron within anothers' blood which could kill them depending on the amount destroyed. The dust cannot harm her. She can swirl the dust around her and use it to blind her opponents. Her power always surrounds her unless she consciously makes the decision to keep it just below her skin.
