Rand Broodblade, Celosia, Gobbo and the others of their group are a bunch of outcasts recruited in a hopeless war set in a deadly post-apocalyptic, fantasy world. When mistrust is common and racism is the norm, they must learn how to live and work together as the manifestations of a dying world slowly consumes and claws at the fading hope that they will need to survive as the Remnants of a Dead Sky.
